This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned

• Full Life Cycle of Recruitment including but not limited to: review and selection of candidates, pre-screening functions as well as interviewing and job offer follow up. Coordinating employee on-boarding as well as follow up after hire as needed.
• Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need as well as practice talent pipelining for areas of current and new business.
• Work directly with Operations department to understand recruitment and talent needs.
• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
• Coordinate and implement recruiting initiatives appropriate for company strategy and direction.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
• Assist with personnel situations involving staffing i.e. investigations, workforce development, reporting, training, etc.
• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed.
• Assists with FMLA and benefit administration, unemployment and workers compensation.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Recruiting experience preferred, HR specific experience of 2-3 years is necessary.

Communication Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence via email and communicate well over the phone. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Customer Service Skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but noninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Positive attitude to promote successful team environment and strong work ethic and sense of integrity.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software; highly proficient with Microsoft Office, spreadsheet software, and word processing. This is a critical part of this position as all processes are computerized.
