Job Description

Department: EHS/Quality Reports To: EHS/Quality Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary Responsible for training staff members on Environmental Health and Safety practices as well as Quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Understand, comply with, and communicate company EHS program • Work with site managers, supervisors, hourly employees, and customers to ensure proper training on CFM safety and quality processes. • Coach supervisors on safety responsibilities • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards; OHSAS 18001 requirements; ISO 14001 requirements; and customer and company rules and policies • Attend site EHS committee meetings to share information and assist the site safety programs • Conduct and document job hazard analyses • Assist with the development of standardized work and pre-task safety plans • Tracks and schedules site training and licensing to ensure it is up-to-date • Deliver required training programs for all employees • Manage classroom environment -- Keep control of class, defuse inflammatory comments and questions • Ensures training records are maintained per company procedure. • Makes recommendations on training improvements. • Conduct respirator fit testing and training. • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Training software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
